Booking a Family Session is a super simple process!

The sessions are at sunset and are about 60 minutes long. They include an online gallery to download your 50+ high resolution images, the option to purchase prints, and the ability to easily share your gallery with friends and family!

The information I send you will allow you to select your session date and pay online (50% is required at booking, and the remainder is due 7 days prior to your session). Sessions are $350 and include Full Digital Galleries.

WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARE YOU? My family work has been described as organic, natural, romantic, real, sentimental, and full of emotion. I combine traditional, documentary, lifestyle, and emotional photography to capture genuine images for you to treasure for a lifetime. Imagine your family as art.
As your photographer, I will provide a generous gallery of images. These photographs will be an investment in your family history. Images from your session often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in time. I do not try to make you look perfect, stiff, or unnatural. I am not after that "one" shot with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. Sure, I may get some with everyone looking and smiling, but I promise if I do, it will not feel stiff or forced.
WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE HELD? My family sessions are on location and natural light. Most locations are on the west side of Wichita/Goddard area. Newborn sessions are held at your home.
WHEN DO NEWBORN SESSIONS OCCUR? I like to do newborn sessions within the first month of life, however my style allows for some flexibility in scheduling. First 48 sessions normally occur at the hospital but can definitely happen in your home.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Be yourself!! Lifestyle photography, especially from an artist like myself, is meant to be authentic. If you don't usually wear dressy clothing, don't. If your daughter hates dresses, don't put her in a dress. If your son can't stand wearing button down shirts, don't put him in one. If you are a sporty family, dress sporty. You can find clothing that fits your style that is clean, nice, and comfortable. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't dress your best, but it does mean that you can dress your best in your own style. Coordinate, don't match, and choose colors that compliment each other. Stay away from graphics and florescent colors. As the mama, choose something you feel amazing in and build the families outfits around yours. Don't forget shoes and accessories are important too. A great outfit with ratty shoes won't look as good. Think about how the shoes will match as well as necklaces and headbands etc. These items can add a pop of color too!
WILL I GET MY DIGITAL PHOTOS AFTER THE SHOOT? Photographs grow in value over time and become family treasures. I know the importance of archiving and saving digital images. I offer one simple, all-inclusive collection where you receive all the high resolution digital files delivered via direct download and a print release. A minimum of 50 digitals files will be available to you (but usually there are more!), in both color and black and white. I also include a complimentary, predesigned album from your session. You will also have the option to buy additional prints and boutique products.
WHEN, HOW, AND WHERE CAN I GET ADDITIONAL PHOTOS AND PRODUCTS? Within four weeks of your photoshoot, you will receive a link to a private online gallery.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES IN MY GALLERY FROM OUR SHOOT? I look carefully at each and every image I capture at your session and hand select the best images. I am looking for images that represent me as an artist and your family, as each is radically unique. I guarantee minimum of 50 images, but there are usually many more included. Lucky you!
HOW FAR OUT ARE YOU BOOKED? I typically book a month in advance for family shoots. If you are interested in newborn portraits, please inquire while you are pregnant. Already delivered? No problem. I try to leave openings in my schedule for last minute newborn and family sessions.
DO YOU OFFER MINI-SESSIONS? I offer ONE mini session week per year in April only. Like I said, I am not after that one great shot but rather a collection of images for lifelong appreciation, and I feel like my art is best when you are given a full session to capture "all the things."
HOW MUCH DOES ALL OF THIS COST? My pricing is simple and all-inclusive. You pay one price for ALL of the digital files. Total cost is $350 for family sessions.
